The primary school curriculum at The Oakrich International School (TOIS), Hosur is a blend of the Cambridge International Primary Programme (CIPP) and the Indian Council of Secondary Education (ICSE) syllabus. English is the medium of instruction, and the integrated curriculum offers an exciting and creative learning environment with Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and an inter-disciplinary appreciation of languages taught as individual and integrated subjects. The second language is Tamil as per the state Govt. norms and Hindi is followed as Third Language. The blended curriculum design ensures TOIS is the best Primary school in Hosur. ICT is now part of the educational experience worldwide and regarded as the new “literacy” alongside reading, writing and numeracy. TOIS’ Cambridge ICT Starters introduces young learners, typically aged 5 to 14 years, to ICT applications they need to achieve computer literacy and understand the impact of technology in our daily lives.
Our Story
The Primary programme at TOIS, Hosur is aimed at developing competence in various skills, such as reading, writing, listening, speaking, problem-solving, observation, measurement and Information and Communications Technology (ICT). The Math Lab, Science Lab, Language Lab, Space Lab and Robotics Lab are specially equipped to cater to the needs of the primary students. Equal emphasis is given to individual, small group and large group activities to improve the child’s ability to work in teams.
